Quick India Update

by alan.young on February 16, 2012

I arrived safe to my first destination after 46 hours of travel which included a 6 hour renting of a room at Delhi airport, took a shower and a 3 hour sleep for around 80 bucks. Took a 7:10am flight to Gauhati, arrived at 9:30am, picked up by my dear friends of 30 years, (YWAM days in India) Taku and Katie Longkumer.

We drove 7 hours to a Missions Consultation (Assam Baptist Convention), Theme is “Learn, Obey and Act”. There are about 60 Pastors from this region here. It was amazing and very humbling to hear these men of God share one by one their personal struggles and ways in which they are being attacked and persecuted for the sake of the Gospel…

I am going to be sharing with them in a few moments a word of encouragement from the Word and share with them what Agape International are doing in the Indian Sub-Cont. Taku wants any of these men if they so feel compelled by the Lord to connect with us so they can have access to the materials for our School of Ministry to train and equip their members and new Believers to the faith.

It is exciting and thrilling to serve Christ, get plugged in where the Lord has called you to and seek Him with all your heart for He does indeed have great things in store for you! Within this “great things” there will be also a heart to reach the unreached not only in your communities but the Nations…Amen.
